Kitchen living with smart technology
Nolte Küchen at LivingInteriors 2016
Löhne, 12 January 2016. At LivingInteriors, taking place from 18 to 24 January 2016 as part of imm Cologne, Nolte Küchen addresses a highly topical subject: The company provides the kitchen and utility room within the special exhibition Smart Homes, joining forces with Miele. Under the motto „Let’s be smart“ stand A59 in hall 4.2 displays an entire home with focus on “intelligent” technology. Renowned German manufacturers showcase their innovations on around 430 square metres.
Nolte Küchen Managing Director Eckhard Wefing says the presentation couldn’t be more apt: “Nolte Küchen stands for innovative design, quality and comfort. Our flexible furniture offers the perfect environment for a “smart kitchen” which is matched to the individual demands of the owners and also meets state-of-the-art technical requirements. However, whilst paying attention to functionality, we never lose track of living room comfort. This is illustrated very well at the fair.”
The handle-less MatrixArt kitchen on display features new front range ARTWOOD. Its innovative surface texture convincingly replicates that of real wood. Walnut Cuba is one of five decors available, shown with Quartz Grey soft matt from the SOFT LACK range for a lively contrast. This combination actually represents two current trends at a time: the demand for natural materials and near-natural decors, with wood taking on an important role, and the popularity of matt lacquered surfaces with natural shades and muted colours that give the kitchen an individual living room character.
The wood theme is echoed in the interior organisation through modular trays, which can be mixed and matched flexibly. The kitchen redefines storage. Apart from “conventional” base and wall units there is Nolte Küchen’s new Wall Panel System, which is available in around 100 different decors. In this case, Walnut Cuba is chosen to go with the door fronts. Notable features: Not only can the Panel Wall be customised in size and individually equipped with shelves and accessory rails, but there is also the option to plan rotatable strip lights and a TV flat screen. This way the element unites living room comfort with storage space whilst being decorative and space saving.
Further technical highlights on display from Nolte Küchen include Emotion Light in the upper handle trim of the base units. The LED system can be dimmed and freely adjusted between cool and warm white light. There is also a charging station for smartphones, combining the option to either use a socket, a USB connection or induction for wireless charging. For music lovers Nolte Küchen offers a Bluetooth sound system, which is installed invisibly behind the plinth. It includes two speakers with a performance of 5 Watt each.
